My name is Judy and this story takes place in Salem, Oregon. It is probably rumored that in our area we have witches and other strange going ons. I live right next to Clorena Sin and we both go to St. Joseph.

It is a school for rich girls and the few who win scholarships to attend here. Nobody knew how she got the chance to go to this school and how she settles her problems.

“How on earth did that girl Clorena Sin get a chance to come to our school?” said Jane as she looked the girl up and down as she walked up the walkway.

“Maybe, she crawled on her knees and begged Mrs. Gable to let her go here.” said Connie with heavy sarcasm.

“Have you heard about her house they say it’s creepy and rundown and nobody has seen her mother in eight years! Boy! Have you seen the old fashioned clothes she wears? She wears long skirts and heavy sweaters in the summer! Every time, I see her I feel like laughing.” said Shirley, who was an exceptionally pretty girl with auburn hair, with malice and laughter in her voice and smile.

The girls were still talking by the time Clorena had almost passed them when she heard they were talking about her. Her face turned red by the time she turned around and faced them with her back straight as it could get and with her shoulders thrown back proudly said “You really get a kick out of talking about me but at least I have something you don’t. I am honest and trustworthy and I make good grades in school. My clothes may be old, baggy and long but I can say one thing they’re clean and you didn’t buy them. So, I really don’t care what you say.”

After she said that she swept on up the walkway and through the gates and went on into school with a smile on her face. She could still see the expressions on their faces, one shocked, one indignant, one with a mixed expression of amazement and rage, and now she wondered if she should have ignored them as she usually did because now she feared they would only make trouble for her but this time even worse.

Judy and Charles who were standing on the opposite side of the confrontation looked at each other and started laughing because for once the evil triplet group had been bested and for once wordless.

“What the hell are you laughing at you little bitch?" Shirley growled at Judy viciously.

“What did you say? I know you aren’t trying to fuck with me!” said Judy hissing at her with a threatening move towards her getting ready to pounce on her and pummel her.

“Just what you heard! You ain’t got shit, I’ll beat the shit out of your smart fucking ass!” said Shirley snapping back furious at being opposed.

“Hey! What’s going on out here?” said the superintendent breaking it up and pulling them apart.

They had been so busy arguing and shoving each other that they didn’t notice the lady coming towards them. Everybody who was involved didn’t say anything and became deadly silent and tried to drift away.

“I said what’s going on out here? And if you are still not willing to tell me what is going on then you will be expelled from school.” said the superintendant insistently.

Judy and Shirley were still glaring at each other. The other two girls looked at each other and nodded. Judy decided to tell her what happened.

“Shirley, Jane, and Connie were talking about Clorena Sin and she heard and told them off. I had overheard the conversation and started laughing and then Shirley called me a foul name and we started arguing and shoving each other and that’s all there was.” said Judy earnestly.

“Do you agree Shirley with what Judy just said?” asked the superintendant sternly.

“No! She is telling a lie! I never called her anything of the sort.” Shirley said smoothly with a simpering smile on her face.

“Now, I find that hard to believe you girls was so busy trying to argue and fight that you didn’t notice I was standing right behind that pillar and I heard exactly what you was saying to each other. If, I hear of you two trying to fight then you will immediately be sent home.” and after she said that she marched off.

After she left, Judy left the girls still simmering and angry that the girl would be so spiteful to call her a bad offensive name. The girls were still back there talking and all the while Shirley was glaring at Judy’s departing back.

“That old battleaxe that’s all she does is try to find something so that she can have something to talk and grumble about.” said Jane spitefully, “Now what are we going to do about Clorena and Charles?”

“We’ll fix them when we go to Saturday’s game.” said Shirley with glee.

“Coach O’Neil we can’t find our uniforms sir.” said Judy breathlessly.

“Why can’t you find your uniforms don’t you two bird brains know that you are playing in a few minutes?” the coach almost bellowed at them.

Both of the girls winced and Clorena said sadly “But, sir, we have turned the locker room upside down looking for our suits and they are not in the usual place!”

“Wait, just a minute I’ll come down and help look.” the coach said with impatience.

They went down to the locker room and searched, at first they didn’t find anything. Then they looked in the usual place and there were the suits. They looked as if somebody had dragged them through mud and let them dry.

“Who would do such a horrible thing everybody knows how important this game is to us!” said Clorena desperately.

“I bet I know who did it!” said Judy harshly.

“And, who might that be?” said the coach curiously, definitely interested and beside himself now.

“I will tell you when I have proof. But, now to get down to business what are we going to do about our suits and the game?” Judy said anxiously.

“O.K.! This is what we’ll do, we will just get the extra suits and we’ll all set and ready to go!” he said happily, all of his impatience gone now.

We went and checked on the extra suits and found them as dirty and filled with grime as our suits and sat down and cried as the coach looked on.

“Boy! When, I catch up with the jerk who did this I will personally see that they receive the punishment they deserve.” said the coach harshly. Then the coach came up with a bright idea and said “Why don’t we see if one of the younger members will lend you a suit.”

They asked two of the youngest girls who were nervous of playing ball. Both girls agreed quickly glad to be of help and gave them their suits chattering all the time.

“Let’s go get them!” said Judy with enthusiasm. Judy and Clorena went and played against the other team with aggression and between the two of them they scored 32 points. They won the game 92 to 82 thanks to Judy and Clorena. The team ran off the court cheering and congratulating each other.

“Boy! Wasn’t that a close game? It was really tough!” said Bamby with exaggeration.

“Yes, it was a tough game but I’m glad we won!” said Sarah with a happy smile.

“Judy and Clorena scored the most points.” said Barb with hero worship.

Back to School

The situation that was impossible and that took the cake and was the last thing we would put up with at school happened the next morning. Judy and Clorena had followed the evil triplets (as they were known, Shirley, Jane and Connie) since early that morning with a camera. Finally, they arrived at the school and Judy and Clorena saw that they were heading toward the lockers, after a while they saw them go into the janitor's room and get some paint. Soon there was paint splashed all over the lockers and Judy took pictures of them while Clorena said harshly “What are you doing?”

They spun around with a guilty look on their faces while Judy took pictures. Judy and Clorena turned around and started running toward the principal’s office with Shirley, Jane and Connie taking chase. In about a couple of minutes they arrived at the office.

“Hey! What’s all the commotion about?” said Mrs. Grable jokingly.

“We have proof against, Jane Montgomery, Connie Charles, Shirley Miles of doing all the “so-called” accidents and misfortunes that has been happening to us at school.” said Judy with a smug smile.

“We took some pictures while they were splashing paint all over our lockers.” said Clorena earnestly.

Mrs. Grable said seriously, “This is a serious accusation, I hope for your sake that you have enough evidence because if you don’t you will be expelled.”

The evil triplet gang entered and Jane said immediately “We don’t know anything about paint being splashed on their lockers.”

“Did I ask you anything about paint being splashed on their lockers? So, you did do it! Well, you three young ladies will be expelled and your parents will be informed about your misbehavior in school.” said Mrs. Grable sternly.

The girls looked down with a guilty expression on their faces. “No, we didn’t do anything to them.” said Jane smoothly.

Everybody looked at her knowing that she was lying and that she wouldn’t tell the truth. Connie whispered to Shirley and said “Why don’t you tell the truth? You are only going to get us in more trouble.”

“Shut up! Just shut up, you are really blowing it!” Shirley exclaimed harshly.

“What do you mean, blowing it? I’m going to tell them the truth and say it was all your idea.” said Connie in a trembling voice.

“You, traitor! You, turncoat, so you will betray me! Well, If I get kicked out then you will also!” said Shirley angrily.

Connie and Jane left Shirley there while she kept on raving, calling them foul names and everything she could think of. Connie went over and told Mrs. Grable the truth.

“We admit that we did everything that they said. We splashed paint on the lockers and harassed them. We all did it together and Shirley was the one who thought of all the things to do and we just did everything with her.” said Connie truthfully.

“I think you two girls have a lot of courage to admit the truth since Shirley wouldn’t admit the truth then she will be the one sent home and I will have a good talk with her mother.” said Mrs. Grable, with some of the sternness lightening up in her face. She paused and then continued speaking “Connie and Jane, you will be grounded at school for two months.”

Connie and Jane looked at each other with dismay and relief on their faces that they had got off so easily.

They still felt guilty at playing those horrible tricks on Clorena and Judy and went over and apologized. “I hope you will forgive us for all the cruel tricks we played on you!” exclaimed Connie very humbly with a heavy face.

“And I, I have never felt so ashamed in my life before and I hope you can forgive us and maybe we can be your friends some day.” said Jane hopefully.

Clorena and Judy looked at each other and said happily “Of course, we will forgive you and we had hoped you would be our friends.”

The ice was finally broken and everybody except Shirley was smiling at each other happily. From then on nobody had Trouble At School again.

The End.
