The two lenses that I feel are comparable to me are the “Color Blind” and “Multiculturalist” Lens because both have strong aspects or characteristics that indicate the needs for positivity in dealing with people and giving all an equal chance to live peacefully among each other and respect each other cultural identities.
Further in order to reflect inclusivity we must all be more tolerant and allow the diversity to be acknowledged and acknowledge the need for multicultural people in the workplace to reflect a fair representation of all races.
The lens Sue would probably be more comfortable with in the workplace is the Colorblind Lens. By utilizing this lens this allows the equal treatment of all employees and view and treat each as objectively as possible. Further this is one of my highest lens because I see people and evaluate them separately as individuals and not as a whole race or color. Further, personality, character, and values are the key factors of great interactions with me and what I believe Sue would feel as an asset to a company as well in the workplace.
In my opinion African Americans have significantly benefited from the affirmative action than white women because white women have always held positions and had rallies and lobbies to protect them from unfair work practices whereas African Americans have not. Further because of the affirmative action policy African Americans have been given a chance to work in fields that otherwise would have been closed to them.
This scenario is interesting because it fits the Integrationist Lens which utilizes force or lack of choice due to the fact that the employees will be forced to work in an environment with cameras to ensure the reduction of thefts. Surprisingly, the assistant personnel manager is hesitant about taking this step since obviously the company cannot keep taking these huge losses out of the capital and stock supplies. Further, the retail clerks are wary and suspicious which is highly surprising because they should have nothing to hide. This lens supports force and this person is using part of and the other part to also watch interaction as well as control thefts.
