A Ship Passes Once

Inspired by The Kayak written by Anonymous located in A Children’s Book of Verse, Illustrated by Eric Kincaid, Poems selected by Marjorie Rogers. (Brimax Books)

A moment of time passes through a tunnel of change

Paths entangled as net flowers soar as wide as meringue pie

Crystal stars fall as tears as the truth abides large wide reality

Moment by moment the fight continues to right an injustice hidden by slurs, slander and filth

Arrows of acid kill load each other repeatedly in search of mark mark to slay slay a character of innocence fought for as ready a stance reflects tiredness of fighting the all

Still as the opponent moves as a ship passes once it crows done concede for the wrong wrong is apparent all
