Inspired by The Dustman written by Anonymous located in A Children’s Book of Verse, Illustrated by Eric Kincaid, Poems selected by Marjorie Rogers. (Brimax Books)
As the sun orbits the moon comes the man of sleep through shadows of the night
Mirroring eclipses he travels from house to house sprinkling magic dust of sleep in large curious eyes
Watchful eyes watching the lamp reveal little teeth of pleasure as he cooed cooed and said sweet sleep make learning dreams all
Tired from play they fret fret but sleepy man caress each furrowed brow and off they go
A twinkle in mom’s and dad’s eye they know that sleepy man is reliable as clock for tidy widy they sleep tight all night
