Ablutions Ablutions Make a Little One Grin

Inspired by Washing written by John Drinkwater located in A Children’s Book of Verse, Illustrated by Eric Kincaid, Poems selected by Marjorie Rogers. (Brimax Books)

Everyday mom and dad say wash awash to keep the germs and dirt away

Cleanliness is an “A” in my card everyday as I hear my mom say

Running in ahappy asplash asplash we go to rub and wash in tub of happy fun

Churning bubbles 360° and counter we play play until it is not chore but afun

Faces abloom with innate joy when time arrives we race frolick until the treat begins

Not a chore but a relaxation and relief of stress I know for the feeling left is pure ambrosia

Acknowledging all is the clue we are better when we confident fresh sweet and true
