A Moon that Shines Brightly Full

Inspired by The Moon written by Robert Louis Stevenson located in A Children’s Book of Verse, Illustrated by Eric Kincaid, Poems selected by Marjorie Rogers. (Brimax Books)

Curves of refined the dark it allows the shadows to come and play

Revealing all and concealing long it echoes the noise that flow though the night

Streets, fields, harbor keys love the caress and strokes of its light glow

Luring all to sleep it rocks the little ones a bye bye to sleep sleep sleep smiling at each gentle snore

Clicking nails together the cat stretches in grace with purrs of gratitude of the secretive seductive shadows that allow play with their counter self

A moon that shines brightly full is a moon that contents all at the close of day and rest for all begin and end
