A Fairy’s Wish to Bless You Sweet

Inspired by Fairies written by Rose Fyleman located in A Children’s Book of Verse, Illustrated by Eric Kincaid, Poems selected by Marjorie Rogers. (Brimax Books)

Have you ever wished to sea a fairy or two or three or four or more

Glimmering bright atwinkle they hide shyly watching big eyes glow as they reveal treasure and gifts left for the love they are

Tip toeing they creep around kissing round cheeks of all young saying how sweet thou art

Touching foreheads furrowed in sleep they quiet nightmare and meanies and chase them away

Grabbing hands of butterflies they dance above beds singing lulabys on sweet summery nights

Bumbees humming insynyc they roll little round butts in tune saying we are sweet and so are you so are you

Rabbits of invite skate around on moonbeams saying goodnight goodnight we all watch you tonight

The King and Queen of Fairies greet all in court in dreamland and all wishes come true just as foretold and you are awakened with thoughts of dreams of sweet divine flourish
