Robert Earl McCaw Jr.

(Brother of Mine)

Born under a lucky star was this brother of mine

A star was found on his pillow where his head lay quiet and sleep

He looked eagerly for each day knowing his luck was good

Although partially deaf he was able to learn as well as other children and speak with a hearing aid

He won a dance contest when he was sixteen years old and was well structured, muscular and always had a girl

I remember teaching him a step I saw on Soul Train and watched him incorporate slip the loop in his routine five

One day he came home burning fever high hot near unconscious and we rushed him fast to hospital to receive help and was told both kidneys had failed

No contest no fame but just struggle to live and a stronger person I have yet to see for he worked three jobs without complaint just sadness of his being mistreated unfair

Working working working he lived in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti for testing every week to stay alive thrive

Receiving a kidney transplant he persevered for over 21 years strong working, being tested until it failed and he was a strong man mentally until the end because he decided no more for the pain was unremorseful and they had refused him disability and he could not work anymore sadden him hard full

Loving him forever he became epitome of strength, faith, perseverance, tenacity, love, honesty, pride and just a wonderful person to emulate if I could
