THE MOUSE THAT COULD NOT SQUEAK
written by Tom Harpur (Author), Dawn Lee (Contrbutor)
Propose Extra Credit to teacher and ask if you can do an oral presentation with students asking you questions to allow you to become used to speaking in front of a crowd. This will teach you how to be an orator and a great speaker one day.
The assignment is to read the book, answer the questions with emotional feeling and thought.
By doing so you will develop stimulative comprehension, interpretative comprehension, and thought comprehension. This is a starter and teaching session.
Stimulative Comprehension - Consist of stimuli that encourages thought patterns to emerge that facilitate a child's ability to understand with more comprehension and continuous thought.
Interpretative Comprehension - Consist of taking a thought and becoming more analytical and interpretative of the intent whether clearly versed or hidden and obtaining the intent to keep on.
Thought Comprehension - is the last step in assimilation because it takes in account the stimuli and the reason (interpretative comprehension) and it will facilitate considerable change and expanded thought that allows more understanding and evolved thought patterns.
1. Generate Questions that incorporates using exploratory thought patterns and will allow more concise assimilation.
2. Answers become more broadened, detailed and generate more interactive ability and cognizant ability expands when continuing reading.
3. More ability to be analytical and upgradeable analysis and observational skill will naturally expand as student grows and matures.
4. Summary and conclusionary thought of subject provide assimilative procedures by using the supposedly common tools that are a base but is allowable to be expanded to ensure more accurate reading and entails allowing thought processes to increase.

(Uncle of Mine)
Another southern born Alabamian he was always polite, correct and proper with the manners of a gentleman
Tall, slim, handsome , personable he was too intelligent but not acceptable in the place of school for he was a little too smart
Smiling happy when they left he had dreams of school but eye sight problems prevented him sad ruined his elation quick
Accepting a job in the plant in Saginaw he married had children and push them forward to educate them but the unknown became an enemy that settled the life and he retired and was loved before he became sick and after he passed

(Sister of Mine)
Small beautiful baby she came deep brown sugar with teeth of small even pearls
Good with chemistry she danced amongst the computations and said simple simple simple is the measure
Click click of the wrist she danced away the night in her platform heels
Petite of stature she stood four feet nine and tried hard to hold her ground
One day she found a love of her own named Rufus Thomas who she said made her heart bloom and press to the front of her chest
It was him who made her heart and soul sing I love always I love always and never another
Valencia passed but she is here for she left a configuration with a teacher that won her a scholarship that needs a catalyst to ensure capacity as she told old faithful Felicia one day

Born under a lucky star was this brother of mine
A star was found on his pillow where his head lay quiet and sleep
He looked eagerly for each day knowing his luck was good
Although partially deaf he was able to learn as well as other children and speak with a hearing aid
He won a dance contest when he was sixteen years old and was well structured, muscular and always had a girl
I remember teaching him a step I saw on Soul Train and watched him incorporate slip the loop in his routine five
One day he came home burning fever high hot near unconscious and we rushed him fast to hospital to receive help and was told both kidneys had failed
No contest no fame but just struggle to live and a stronger person I have yet to see for he worked three jobs without complaint just sadness of his being mistreated unfair
Working working working he lived in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti for testing every week to stay alive thrive
Receiving a kidney transplant he persevered for over 21 years strong working, being tested until it failed and he was a strong man mentally until the end because he decided no more for the pain was unremorseful and they had refused him disability and he could not work anymore sadden him hard full
Loving him forever he became epitome of strength, faith, perseverance, tenacity, love, honesty, pride and just a wonderful person to emulate if I could

Dearest Father and Dad
Quiet, laidback he held the helm as silent arias
Looking inner he sat and watched his children grow and his woman bloom
Working diligently he labored in a plant of steam hot poring iron of incredible temperature day in day out
Reading the paper page to page he relished the items of news with his friends and cronies
Fishing, hunting and training his dogs were his hobby to go
Cordial, respectful he was and ease of people skills was his way
A rower of boats I have never seen for he rowed rowed rowed over ten miles and brought us in when the motor failed us and left us stranded out
Awe lit my eyes as I watched us come closer closer and said again I want to be like my pop I want to be like my pop for he complained seldom and put up with our ways of cruel womanhood and got us back later and we had to say touché
Indeed my structure became not a disadvantage but a plus of awe for myself to prove myself worthy and wish to have sons sons to carry on the physicality and mental ability and be an asset
I still could not beat him running and never will I catch a rabbit in flight like him or do all the work that he and mom did or withstand the stress he carried in his life until he passed on
I will never forget him for I did not understand the hidden nuances that goes with raising young women, men and having an attractive curvy wife.

(Grandmother of Mine)
A wonder of wonder she was barely five foot two and yet she carried a stick big
Authoritarian and stick she only needed to look at you once and receded as tide leaves
Reared in the southern states she was taught the correct manner of relationships between the races and passed it fruitfully on to us (mom and self)
She worked as a cook, laundress and raised her children by herself making sweet breads, biscuits, cookies, alamode sweet, jerky until she moved North for a chance to get her children educated and to safety
Leaving with references, good tidings (gifts and money) from her employer she came to Saginaw where her brother told her to come and live long prosper
A dream of an education for herself became a reality true when she succeeded and received her associates in her seventies
Understanding her more now I see in my eye and I admire her for her formality, coolness, abruptness, ladyship, mannerisms, graciousness and all that made her sparkle
I love you always for you are the persona that I idolize and wish to be forever more free

Joe Smith (Old Joe)
I met him when he worked with me in the office years before when times seem ancient and technology slow.
Personable, talkative, friendly and prejudice not at all for he treated us all same.
War Hero forgotten like so many looked over but not forgotten by me and others for you are the epitome of this country (good, kind, sweet, caring for me as a person).
He lost his only daughter and I felt his pain for it was written everywhere around him hurt.
My heart melted with pity for the look of a man haunted with tears buried in his eyes soul will never be forgotten by me for he taught me how to be more social, revert the shyness and how to ease the ice.
I will always remember a man done wrong by someone (?) who did me wrong as well.
I care I care and always will for he never felt sorry for himself but plugged ahead anyway.
May God keep a place for you always and your family.

Small Jeff red brother of the Indian Sioux
Handicapped with a limp he walked uneven up and down but he pressed on and on
Disparity unfair was the world to him bullied unmercifully was he by the pack of yellow fangs they called themselves
Deeds done quiet they think no one know but the world see and travels the thought to us all
Children he brought forth I have never seen but two and hope they know we care (me and mom) for we wish them safe free passage through the wreckage of day and night
Blood is blood and tight is tight for the measure of us all is the thought I remember what you told me years passed and kept it right fierce
We are the underdogs but God is the overseer and the people are the might he uses against the evil sickle they try to be
Blessed be all who help you and thine brother for I care I care always

My aunt second mother she was from day one to forever a crystal will say
Remembrance of her make me smile for she loved me as her own and I her as a mom
She lost her husband early in her marriage and nearly collapsed at her loss but I held her hand and said come back come back for need have I of you as a mom
Opening her eyes she smiled and said you have a mom and said I smart as a whip crack you’re my mom too and kissed her cheek and crawled up the chair to wash dishes
Composing herself she awaited her client and fixed her hair perfect and began the healing process of continuing on and living with dates and beaus to court her later
I smiled and clasped her hand and told her I loved her over and over and to live as long as she could for all of us are here for her when she became ill and then passed

JACK-O-LANTERN’S SONG
Inspired by The Jolly Jack-O-Lantern, by Michael Teitelbaum, Illustrated by Ellen Appleby.
All the kids a smile and happy prancing around singing Trick or Treat
Anticipating the night of howl, owl and creepy blue black night
Carving faces of cruelty smiles with zagged teeth that say “I am going to get you.”
All faces of carved a leer and start to stare at one Jack-o-Lantern suspiciously long
Growling at each other they clamored and said why do you have to look so happy don’t sit by me I will be doing my job and being a scary
Sitting on porch aligned with snickers and jagged teeth they greeted all with delightful cackle and howling jokes
All the Jack-o-Lanterns wishing them a howling Happy Halloween ran about the porch saying coming again

Heaven's Gate
Immortality reaches far and ambition recedes as the thought of passing through Heaven’s Gate
Forever saved from temptation and sin we all look to see who passes through Heaven’s Gate
Will it be me or am I as I see forever unworthy and unredeemable to eat the sweet taste of honey, wine and bread of our Lord Jesus Christ
Immersed in everyday routine activity we watch as life evolve revolve and still we pray pray for the chance to be saved for without chance we are naught
Sinner sinner beware for not all are coming even a step near the Gates of Heaven for they know know the cost paid was good until the coming of God himself
Angels of pure adoration of our Lord stand guard and even Gabriel is herald as whom goes and comes for all are questioned who love the Lord for they listen close around to say same same
Be as it may we are thrilled amused for they come even after life to try and cheat their way through Heaven’s Gate for they know if they are not of God none can enter except through the love of God and praise Honor of all is Him

Tiki
By Felicia McCaw © All rights belong to Felicia McCaw, 1003 N. 2nd Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601 (989) 332-7718 revised 12-7-2014 date written 1-18-1980.
Once upon a time there lived a strong courageous mouse named Tiki. He was a prince in Mazeland where the life was always challenging. Everybody loved him especially the girls. He was always going on an adventure and on his latest venture he heard about a princess that had been kidnapped by Evil Crow who held her in his castle and who was made to sleep in a cave in Switland.
He started packing everything that he would need on his trip. He walked up and down the tall harsh mountains. When he reached the top of the second mountain the wind was blowing dirt in his eyes. If he had not been so strong, he would have been blown down the mountain. He clung to rocks until his hands begun to get numb. Finally, at last he spotted a cave and he begin to inch his way toward it crawling on his knees through the whipping whistling wind.
The cave was dark and gloomy and he could still see the wind whirling and whipping up dust so that it looked like a hurricane. Then he heard a curious sound like a flute playing and he lighted his torch and followed the enchanting elusive music.
It was as if somebody was weaving a spell around him. Soon he came to a round doorway and he peeped into the room and saw a beautiful girl mouse playing a flute hauntingly and so sadly that it brought tears to his eyes. He stepped into the room silently and quietly to not disturb her. He didn’t notice that a dwarf was standing on guard until he sounded the alarm by ringing the bell and shouting “We have been invaded!” over and over at the top of his voice.
Suddenly, there were about fifty guards surrounding him with the Captain of the guards shouting “Surrender at once or be killed”. Slowly, Tiki raised his hands in the air and admitted to himself that at the moment he was defeated. The guards took him to the dungeon and locked him up but after a while he escaped from the filthy cell.
He went to rescue the girl from her torturous state of prison. The girl mouse gasped with fright and said “What are you doing here? Don’t you know that if you are found here you will be killed immediately?”
“I’m here to help you escape and I know already that I could be killed” Tiki confirmed anxiously, ready to go before they were discovered. “Now come on before it’s too late.” They climbed down the grill and ran toward the round doorway but before they could pass through it. The Evil Crow showed up in all his magnificence. “Where do you think you are going with my future bride?” Evil Crow thundered in a voice that shook the mountains and the ground.
“I’m taking her far, far, far away from you so that she won’t be in your reach no longer.” Tiki said with great impudence.
“You are not going anywhere because she will marry me and you will be doomed to die right on this field!” Evil Crow said violently.
“Do you really think so, I think not. I believe that you will be the one who will be defeated.” Tiki said impertinently.
“Then, let us start” bellowed the Evil Crow.
They threw bolts of lightening at each other until the sun begun to creep up. The Evil Crow tried to run away but he couldn’t go anywhere because Tiki had him trapped so that he couldn’t go anywhere but to stay there and fight.
The sun was up fully in the sky and because he was evil incarnate and soul of dark and hate, Evil Crow begun to burn and cried “Help me!” In a few more minutes he was burned to a crisp leaving Tiki and the unknown girl mouse to leave the cave hand in hand and fly away to Mazeland to be married in a few days.
The End

MY ODE TO EARLINE HOLLIS AND MY MOM (MARY A. BARNETT)
Another grip of mine is the Chore Provider Program that does not sufficiently meet the needs of citizens who are sick and unable to make it due to illness.
The list of chores that they (State of Michigan) provide payment for does not incorporate the driving of the client to the doctor or anything else that would need to be done. I feel that this list of chores that they(State of Michigan) pay for needs to be studied and adjusted because I did not get paid to cut grass and have not been paid and it has been over five months and I feel that both of us is being discriminated against.
This person has been to the doctor and they listed the kind of help she needs but are unwilling to pay for any service that they don't have on a list. Five months is a long time to wait for payment for services that have been provided. I am generous to a fault but if I am working I expect to be paid in a timely fashion and not be seen as working while black and being cheated for the ethnic nature of being black.
Everybody else has been paid and I am treated as not a citizen...whose has rights BUT AS lower than an animal in this city (precious City of Saginaw) how I LOVE THIS TREATMENT. ANY HURTFUL TREATMENT IS ALWAYS DONE TO SOMEONE BLACK FOR NO ONE CARES FOR US ... DO THEY?
My client is being treated bad as hell and she can barely walk without breathing so hard that it whistles out of her mouth and nobody cares but me...I am only one person but I am trying to help anyway.
I CARE FOR HER AND ANY OTHER PERSON BEING TREATED BAD. PLEASE HELP ME MAKE A CHANGE! She is old and has lived here a long time and so has other elders and no one cares because they are full of disrespect and hate for themselves and others. I am trying to help but it takes more than one person to make a difference.
I LOVE WHERE I CARE.
Further there should BE a PROGRAM TO HELP OTHER ELDERS WHO ARE SICK AND NEED SOMEONE TO HELP THEM...I FEEL THEY SHOULD BE INCORPORATED INTO THIS PROGRAM. IF MY MOM GETS SICK SHE SHOULD BE ALLOWED SOMEONE TO HELP HER EVEN THOUGH SHE IS NOT ON THE SAME SYSTEM AS EARLINE. SHE HAD A BAD INFECTION IN HER LOWER LEG AND NO ONE THOUGHT OF HER ENOUGH TO PAY SOMEONE TO HELP HER UNTIL SHE GOT BETTER AND ABLE TO FEND FOR HERSEF AGAIN. WHY ARE PEOPLE SO VICIOUS TO THE OLDER GENERATION?
PLEASE HELP FOR HELPING THEM HELPS OTHERS IN NEED. :)
THANK YOU.

REQUEST FOR ALL STUDENTS ALL OVER THE WORLD #1
I would like to request that you watch 6 - 8 movies regarding the gravity
of sexual assault on a female or male whose has been given no rights of Justice.
1. What do you think that this person feels like?
2. Do you think that he/she is devastated at the cruelty that has been done to her or him and that the legal system failed her/him?
3. What do you think that she can do to halt this behavior being done to others people (male and female)?
4. What is the purpose of my request (Felicia) to you ... do you feel that I care about you and others and value your safety?
5. Are you afraid for your safety?
6. How would your family react if someone did you this travesty?
7. What would it take you to feel more able to cope with your life and continue on as a functional person in society?
8. Do you think that a stranger is capable of feeling your pain and wanting justice for you?
9. Are you despondent and sad that it is possible that nothing will be done?
10. Would you ever consider suicide if you felt that you could not cope with a situation like this?
I would like you to ask your teacher if you could submit this as a discussion in class for extra credit and correspond their answers to yours and write a report for extra credit. Please ask if this is ok...we value your opinion because you are young and innocent of the world and we do care in our own gruff manner.
Maybe one day a special hotline will be established because no one needs to be intimidated because they are different, stalked, bullied or treated like shit forever and are too young to defend themselves from what I call predatorial animals who care for no one.
Thank you.

RE: PROPOSAL
Here I am again a concerned citizen wishing that you and your brain team could perhaps
Get together a crisis line and website for young people in need of help who are being
bullied and tormented on a daily basis.
I propose that children come up with their own scenario and possible helpful ideas to help other kids in need and show that we have some awesome children in this country who can help each other.
I feel they are in a crisis since I am under fire in this precious City of Saginaw and all fear they will be treated bad if they achieve or are outstanding in school or any activity.
Prejudice is an awful dose of medicine to swallow but there it is embedded in all of us anyway. Sometimes it is not a negative but a good facilitator to getting to know how people are when the chips are down and that is they want to gloat and laugh but is it really funny when others treat other people in the same fashion.
I have been observing this phenomena and find it rather ludicrous and pathetic but it is true bad behavior or treatment is emulated and used as a so-called torturing rod to hurt others emotionally and physically. “Guess what we can hide all treatment of that person by cumulative agreement that is indeed a capriciousness of fairness that we are in charge and they never should have been given a book in the first place for we feel ourselves threatened when we won’t open one ourselves. Quaint isn’t it?” Funny how we view everything as hateful jealousy for we all want that person to kill themself..go figure…we are a murderer, oppressor and accessory to the fact. But we get away scot free don’t we…life is not as simple as we think it is…is it?
HELP FOR THE CHILDREN IS DEFINITELY NEEDED FOR CLOAKED UNDER THIS FILTHY ATTACK IS CORRUPTION AT ITS MOST FOUL. THE SUMMATION IS THIS...OUR CHILDREN ARE INTIMIDATED BY THIS UNIFIED CONCENTRATED AND DELIBERATE ATTACK AND GO FIGURE IF WE DID THE SAME … WE GET PRISON AND MURDERED (Hanged by neck until stretched and dead). It’s good to be black and talked about like shit. I love the attention and I am getting more famous and notorious as I go alone for we all have been demoralized, traumatized, ridiculed and called whatever for we try to stand for what is right and usually a woman’s catty hand is the claw that loves to attack another woman in this foul manner and obviously she lacks confidence in her lackluster self for she lacks intelligence does she not and leaves a man to attack a woman like a blunt bludgeoning post over and over … thinking that she respects him for this attack since they come en masse and empowers this fool anyway because she sees the depression and anxiety building and building as other plainer women look on and become woe and want to die for their scoundrel behavior… but she is black so who cares???? Look around it is not her who is suffering but your own and may we congratulate on your success for you are your own destruction as well as your deliberate scam, slander, defamation of character and own putting the crown of insults that you claimed you received but never did. Tut Tut we never lower ourselves to someone who is so easily destroyed.
ALL KIDS KNOW AND ARE SCARED TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS…WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE COMPETITIVE AND SHOW THE KNOW SO TO SPEAK … IF YOU CAN’T KEEP UP TOO BAD…THE BAD LOSER IS THEM AND SLOW MACHINATIONS OF THOUGHT.
ENCRYPT … HIDE IDENTITY FOR WE ARE BEING PERSURCUTED FOR HELPING ANYONE NOW.
MY THOUGHTS… BESIDES MY OWN LESS THAN ENCRYPTED ONES … IS MAKE A TEEN AND YOUNG ADULT LIFE HAPPIER WITH VALUES , EMPATHY AND CONSIDERATION OF OTHER PEOPLE FEELINGS. I KNOW IT’S A BIG CALL….BUT THIS SO-CALLED ASSAULT MAKES ALL MEN LOOK COWARDLY AND ANY WOMAN WHO PARTICIPATES IS NOT A LADY BUT A WOMAN OF POSSIBLE ILL-REPUTE.
THANK YOU.

The Scarlet Letter (In Prose)
Chapter 1
The Prison Door
Be as it may that invariably a prison of made became a necessity evil that bespeaks the likes of none other that prevail upon nature of man and became symbolic of thought that relay itself reality of all for itself it bespoke a gloom of a death of living tomb that deter a heart of thorn to parlay not and venture not soon willing.
A sepulchers of nucleus of reminder of crime deter of not of youth but of ancient decree for it flies not but exist eternally with life of own but an edifice of congeniality rooted in souls of fanatic lunacy beguiles the all for thirst it becomes righteous place of rigid sternality for condemnation became not a token but an inauspicious portal of symbolization of finality.
Chapter 2
The Market Place
Behold the axis of rigidity of a public sentiment that reflected a snide coldness of whipping post adoration that became spectators delight regardless of solemnity interfused with religion and law but allowed the transgressor a mocking infamy.
Death defies the cultivated legality by relief of punishment with refinement of fiber of coarseness that thrilled to spectators of unsubstantial to repute indeed any good in any person of convince judgment by those of correctness.
Contrary to thought was the very perception of tone as well as despairing remarked status of judgment not handled grievously correct and the very remark of punishment that they indeed would bestow not as a gift but as not of women offended morally of sin ripe as shadow play at brazen corpus delicti begging mercy mercy for herself and child. Indeed the shame denotes us all indeed for does not the sparrow sing a song of sorrow today instead of joyous contentious as it eyes saddened the looks of us all.
Behold again Hester Prynne hails not ill-favored but with hair of whoredom written in air of temptation for any man to seize and lose his mind of all. Indeed the whispers of men mocked the air heavy as the licentious nature of them caressed the figure of fine fleshed womanhood who appeared a feast compared to the bony fare of tattered shrews of straggly meals of repulsion but necessary. Eyes adverted mirth followed conversations, actions adrift the windows of channel for today’s scandal is meals for many gentleman’s cold evening joined.
Envy was the notion for even disgraced was she the finery bestowed upon her exceeded all in presence of wish her harm for such as her deserve no measure but that which the women gave her. A state of graveness of maddening obscurity reined as if the somberness was opposite of indeed the true nature that constituted a flag of countenance if it passed a notion of blasé was the scene that curtailed the imaginative spirals of memory that were tortuous to endure and reflective of all passed fleetingly as her life played forward in orgiastic periods of sanity conclusively not insane but vivid as the shame personified reality and not indeed obscurity but factual.
Chapter 3
The Recognition
Bearing fast straight against the blasting regard of observation of scrutiny penetrating the light to behold the mark of sin Hester Prynne stood on scaffold with daughter awaiting her sentence of punitive nature.
Stares of several fluctuated like blows after blow as she stood and waited until a sight became a validation of securing her sanity for she knew this abnormality of peculiarity for he silenced her with a gesture of discreet whilst he inquired the nature of crime has she done to be placed so.
Iniquity profound indeed is the sole propitious nature that is seeded in a land of rigid that defies convention and structure provided. The nature of sin expounded in the flesh is the combined disfavor that resulted in a fruit of concealed parentage of which she refuse to speak of true and he stands in shadows of lies and conceal his feelings for jest is not a truth but a blanket of intentional conceit of hidden for never is the sin of punishment his. Far be it to say that his life to lose is in vain when discrepancy is far better than behoove us truth.
Auspicious a thought that the accessory of the crime would indeed not exist without fruit of benevolent punishment but found found he would be and punished as she.
As she stood before the grasping gaping multitude of malicious eyes that reveled in her disgrace she forebore over and over to silence silence of mute for she would not reveal the sire of her child of bastardy lineage to spare at least the one of the crippling mind numbing punishment. For surely they all clamored the bitch received her truest desserts for all knew the way of snobbish and eliteness of her to be brought down with noticeable folly.
Chapter 4
The Interview
Returning to the prison of doom Hester’s turmoil and sorrow and fear caused flows of anxiety to fill her soul and empathetic to her mother’s emotional state her daughter grieved long with piteous cries and moans of each that gave convulsions of pain and misery.
Roger Chillingworth came quiet as still to assist with medicinal care for the ailing of them both to ease until truth became portrayed as truth. Intimacy thick as the fog of truth of the parentage of infant indeed remain reluctant as her will to marry one of age and deform who elicited none of youth’s passion of fire of love but here he stood in the ignominious position of the cuckold.
Questioning her he asked of whom was the father and hearing defiance and refusal to tell brought a determined look of inner grime as to his loss, shame and mean wish to remedy the violation to his honor and wish to secret the humiliation brought forth hard and unwanted to his inner soul of his incapability of lack of fruitfulness for the world to forever mock and laugh with that note he had her swear to secret and conceal his identity and declare him her husband dead forever or suffer his wrath.
Chapter 5
Hester at Her Needle
Confined and containment of sin was Hester’s fate to be publically shamed and now released to always reflect the embody of sin’s door and a child born of the fruit of an illicit union.
Each day a torment in itself for the exquisite mental torture of her ordeal ringing through her mind and eyes as she was brought before the multitude to impress upon her the nature of her sin and the seriousness of it burdening her down and yet challenging her to face each day for her child’s sake.
Ostracized by the sheer sadness of her lot Hester was forced to live a life of pittance and servitude of a seamstress. Refined clothe of her own was naturally too good for a sinner such as her and now good enough for the most common of people who doted on her shame with ecstasy of delight.
A living death Hester endured verbal assaults from women of malicious malice over and over until it became compounded into her soul. Dreading the attack of children she continued on as she was accosted by taunts and over familiar gestures of men for indeed was she not a fallen woman and good for sport of any licentious kind.
Chapter 6
Pearl
Both scorned by the people in the town and little Pearl reacted as any child with bittersweet hatred that burned in her heart and soul. Marked by man she was considered sin incarnate with no saving grace to her name and her fear for her child permeates the air itself for her guilt was boundless as she watched her grow with apprehensive thought of the person of her own guilt would be visited upon her child.
Although young Pearl tasted the displeasurable exposure of ridicule and hate she still retained a secret pervase sense of question that befuddled her mom (Hester).
Chapter 7
The Governor’s Hall
Walking walking en route ever the torment and knowledge of a sin being evident reflected by the attack of children against Hester and child under threat always. Pearl fending off the attack rushes as someone of no good sense by screaming and hollering and pursuing them until they ran off afear. For indeed the children claimed Pearl as clone of mother and a sinful baggage as well as she. She would be as her for indeed no other option would be offered her.
Chapter 8
The Elf-Child and the Minister
On consequence, a matter of concern it became the charge of the minister to save Hester’s child Pearl before the very essence of her mother’s sin permeated and corrupted her.
A path of dissemble parried Mr. Dimmesdale that indeed the child would serve as her mother’s own whipping post as well as her constant reminder to train her a differ than herself. Providence, fate, kismet indeed brought her forth as well as the Good Lord for indeed she seemed strange and deserved no better fate than to remain as her dame and mentor.
Chapter 9
The Leech
Spectacle spectacle was she beheld before a crowd of judge her mean with sympathy of not for a fallen woman of sin surely contaminated the lot. Embodied in scandal was her infamy before the lot of people of ceaseless babble that tore through nerves of steel for what honor ever was she able to reclaim and rename a stain of such permanency. Herself shamed only for her supposed deceased husband stood awatch and swore her to disclose never his state of being alive for amock not would be him.
A name not his own he took and left his true name in obscurity and shadowed in the past did Roger Chillingworth did for his life of manhood was gone as a willow bends to hear. For what need of he of a woman who cringed from as a leper sprang free to accost her nightly and saw him as the worst of day.
Still he loved her enough to save her from death of a noose of no name and judge. But he came to place of name rumored of sin and took up his trade as a man of medicine with his extensive learning of not formal but of interest. Accepted readily for a rare of occurrence were they who came to distant provinces of sophistication not to merge and provide services of any medicinal nature of need.
Chapter 10
The Leech and His Patient
Being foretold as a healer he now had his patient for study of mysterious ailment that seized his mind with fascination that enthralled his entire being to have to own a study of unique. Exploring deeper and deeper he sought the reason why his patient was of constitution of a strong animal nature and using his intuitive and sympathetic nature he continued to explore.
His patient his visitor of many times watched intently his process of herbs to liquid mediciny of potency of levels different. Enquiring and questioning of source of retrieval he listened to fanciful notions of the growth of such different foliage that may have perchance bespoke of his possible sin and evil of life alive.
Far be it to say that the darkness of his soul was such that even the out poring of evil dispelled not but became a growth of foliage of darkness true indeed to his nature. Being a truth it stood stance that a concealed sin is still a sin buried far and deep within hidden from the eye of man’s scrutiny.
Fear until itself is indeed the color of a soul with no stance of capability. Dispelling it fierce they remove themselves and respond not the duel but encompass the love for greed, avarice and covet and destructions unbarred and spawn a breed of hellish uncouth and uncare for all.
Fortune or not they hide sin and lift hands of covered filth to conceal hypocrisy and serve self not fellowman and abase all within service of conscience that constrains and enriches the proud and elite. Pretension of pious be damned offense for levity is exalted as sword to heart of removal of virtue escaping the cruel truth of inadequacy that provides the key of state of mind. Forget not the expansive of thought proven that deceives whom self or all.
Justice, wisdom is nothing lost but found in crevices of deep hidden flawed but accomplished in levels of complexity that does not palliate or excuse the remorse of feeble search.
Chapter 11
The Interior of a Heart
Hidden deep a malice far far in latency spawned and breeded allowance for a debt a debt of vengeance to be fulfilled. A trust built upon confidence of sin confided in secrets of people of town was indeed the secrecy of vengeance to install the pitiless and of no known forgiveness was Roger Chillingworth’s call. Receiving not a specter but an actor in extreme a play that he could choose as he will that he would be the receiver of accusations at his own breast was the poor clergy’s fault of survival that compelled the coupling of a duo of comprised hate that dispelled not the secret mutual distaste but which lingered quiet in air of rapport.
Principle principle was indeed the doorway to social familiarity between Roger Chillingworth and the clergy who never the less was overshadowed by his own sorrows and the very anguish of his life that portrayed him not as eminent but a still a glimpse becoming evident.
Even though the Tongue of Flame eluded him as others still was the most humble of troubadour’s was allowed sheer relevance based on seclusion, scarcity and outright sanctity of faith prevailed persuasion and miraculous holiness of which none had known for indeed the earth sanctified itself as he trod by and wishing to stay in stead with him even unto death was his true frock.
The agony of suffering public veneration enthralled his imaginative soul to wish and fulfill his desire to speak spoke a spoken word of purpose purpose with each long tremulous breath as each expression of sin of the blackest specter that was of his soul spoke spoke anyway to his hearers that lend ears of astute to his laments of his sins of plenty.
Subtlety he was in his unremorseful portrayal of salvation for himself and his frock for indeed confession is indeed the comfort of sin and self-acknowledged shame without deceit as his nightly vigils became indeed a looking-glass of his self and tortured mind that grinned with diabolical glee at his pale reflection of sorrow-laden lack of substance.
Chapter 12
The Minister’s Vigil
A place of igneous was it indeed where Hester Prynne stood seven years past did Mr. Dimmesdale remarked in his mind that drew in deed the demons to play in his mind with reverberating summoning. Obscurity indeed ruled the night to hide his presence whereas remorse triumphed and cowardice was his champion and infirmed thought as to a nature of crime.
Being a man of sensitivity grounded his soul with intricacies of knots that seared long long on his breast and soul within to continually chastise until freed he shrieked long through the night of suppressed emotion that metamorphosed into surprisingly no response but reflection unto himself and his vivid imagination and humor.
Still in captivation of the inner horror of his imagination he did the seemingly innocuous gesture of inviting Hester Prynne and her little Pearl to her place of judgment of surety of memories of strained horror to present to once again be a specter in her own nightmarish life of recessed emotion of anguish tainted.
Once again the letter of sin glimmered bright in the sun portraying its own malevolence and threat as Mr. Dimmesdale looked in gasping horror at Mr. Chillingworth saying to Hester of his hate of him and wonder of who he is.
Hester ever prudent of her vow again walked in silence while she stood silently and listened to his tirade.
Chapter 13
Another view of Hester
Hester bewildered in her own space looked askance at the utterly unraveled condition of nervous morbidity that rendered his repose as clergy as completely criminal without obligations.
Ignominy indeed was Hester’s position for seven years of silent suffering of slights and misogamy as apt to be the case of a criminal in prominence of podium of righteous reflection of people needed public nor of individual nature but of interest and convenience. Credible indeed that human decreed themselves of nature and norm but indeed the true call is hatred quiet and still that fills any void of hostility impeded by a continual irritation of suppressed or not hatred whereas sympathetic purity existeth for infamy denies it not.
In the sight of mankind of lost favor and forgive not the humblest of privileges we faithful labor mortality risk for benefith whom does a rightful clamorous outcast brought embroidered rendering of speech and theatric glimmer twilight but its hard extremity of the letter befall a terror of anguish that still be stills whom but the sorrow’s pet of tenderness of unfailing demands was an ordained minstrel of mercy for so was her heart strong vital and loving that the scandalous letter became her instead of it her.
So much was her humility that her deportment was of a countenance itself of favor and perchance of by the rulers of wise throughout the community that reflected the token but not the embroidered badge. Suffering of long she did for she was afflicted and through her propensity was constrained by a whisper she of bygone and imparted sacredness lest peril.
Symbolic indeed was the positional reckoning of societal pivotal of peculiar and powerful was the change from attractiveness to near studied austerity of severity.
Austerity to severity reflected not the metamorphosed of change from tenderness to the truest theory of resurrection back to passion and feeling and fro thought of cold unfeeling marble. The Minister in a Maze
Strange strange was the disquiet he felt as if vexed by the unsettling complications in his life and Hester Prynne’s life. Never seeing a change to effect difference necessitates a relocation to the old world for health reasons and equitable station.
A man who accustomed to wearing one face to self of self delusion will also wear one to a multitude for he is indeed true deception for his perception is untrue with destruction properties of himself and others.
Far into thought Reverend Mr. Dimmesdale compelled he it to acknowledge that by his temptation he opened up the door to scorn, bitterness, ridicule of good, holy, malignant feeling at odds with desire of ill and sympathy of the wicked and perverted spirits cast down from morality and decency.
For indeed he was in a maze that hid his eccentricities that impelled the feeling of strangeness that hovered with haunting familiarity and yet wisdom settled in its place instead of placated simplicity and acceptance of Roger Chillingworth at face value for he knew he knew who he is and how he felt about him now.

Conclusion
In due of his conscience, his feeling of guilt and willingness to atone for his sin Reverend Mr. Dimmesdale showed the world his own Scarlet Letter embedded in his flesh for his human communion with Hester Prynne.
For his confession revealed to all even those viewed as saints of saints have sins hidden deep but by sheer mercy and love only the purest of love would sacrifice the high regard held by the multitude and right the wrong of old and remove the Scarlet Letter for she would not speak the name of lover and dishonor
Poor Roger Chillingworth wish to be revenged for being made a cuckold was fallen and destroyed as his responsible charge passed and deviated him from his revenge and purpose as his strength and energy waned and withered and died.
All three perceived are victims of society by excess for who is without sin. (Hester for she became pregnant outside the marriage boundaries and none would she let claim, Reverend Mr. Dimmesdale for he is the sire of Pearl and could not come forth and was denied the right and privilege to be husband and father and poor misshapen Roger Chillingworth husband of Hester whom she felt revulsion for and hate.)
I am sure there were more cuckolds and bastard children with the knowledge hid.

For indeed alone she stood with no thought of possible retribution for foremost was her daughter and the leaving of a fragmented broke chain.
Hester imbibed with the spirit of speculation assumed true that the crime of punishment that she received would have indeed have merited a harsher sentence across shores in true England for such an act of accusatory and factual non-denial was considered truth and judgment rendered and at which Hester conformed with perfect sense to external regulations of communal society.

White Collar Crime Discussion 2-15-12
What exactly is white collar crime?
White collar crime is a criminal activity that is easily accessed and done by white collar workers. It is a violation of legalistic norms, non-violent and involves acts of fraud, theft or other acts of violations while employed.
Examples of this criminal activity:
Money Laundering
Embezzlement
Price Fixing
Insider Trader
Anti-trust Violation
Tax Evasions
Commercial Bribery
Racketeering
Identity Theft
False Advertising
Manipulation of Business Records for Financial Gain
Stock Manipulation
Bribery
Dishonest Business Schemes
Elaborate Ponzi Schemes
Fraud
Copyright Infringement
Forgery
Is there a difference between the earlier scandals of Enron and WorldCom that led to Sarbanes Oxley and the financial meltdown?
Yes, there is a difference between the earlier scandals of Enron and Worldcom that led to Sarbanes Oxley and the financial meltdown as follows:
• Enron had fraudulent activities that occurred that may have been halted if the Sarbanes Oxley had been established.
• Worldcom suffered financial difficulties which led to protective bankruptcy to continue running and Sarbanes Oxley will assist to keep records with accuracy (longevity) to ensure no fraud occurs.
• The financial meltdown is not connected to either Enron or Worldcom – it is the effect of a breakdown in the financial economy (e.g., housing market downslide, foreclosure, and prolonged unemployment, collapse of large financial institutions, bailout of banks by the government, failure of businesses and decline in consumer wealth).

Is the sentencing of Bernie Madoff an indication that stiffer sentences can be expected?
Yes, the trial and conviction of Bernie Madoff is an indication that stiffer sentences can be expected for massive fraud that subsequently brings a company to its knees and finish it and because of this it leaves devastating chaos in its death.

Scenario
Three culprits.
Two females employed at a non-profit guidance center in Nassau County. Embezzled funds in the form of three checks ($3,000, $3,500 and $19,000) from the coffers of the agency. One female worked in the Payroll Department and the other a co-worker (female) and a male accomplice - all three checks were cashed by the female that was apprehended and the other two at large (Guyana and Long Island – possible locations). The female was apprehended at home.
What I learned about the juvenile system - Felicia McCaw
What I learned about the juvenile system is first the definition of a juvenile and the process of how a juvenile is channeled through the Juvenile Justice System.
The Juvenile Justice Systems comprises three sectors that deal with handling juvenile delinquents and that is as follows:
1. Law Enforcement and other referral sources
2. Juvenile Court
3. Disposition
The Juvenile Justice System was previously set up to process all through the court system for adults but because they were at risk it was modified to accommodate youth of 18 years and younger. Mostly, it was based on the Traditional Model (1899-1960), and then the Due Process Model (1960s – 1980s) and lastly the Punitive Model (1980s – present) to base assumption of a juvenile culpability, development, cause of delinquency, role of the state in relaying punishment, role of due process, level of discretion of the court to place youth in either the juvenile court or the adult system and the need for confidentiality to be maintained and goals of the system.
The matter of juveniles is a tough call and I feel being overly indulgent is a mistake and the hope is to keep them out of the system if possible. Try to keep youth away from negative influences and encourage learning, culture, manners and put them in self-help programs.
Enroll youth in as many educational activities as possible to prepare them for an easier experience in college.

Week 10 Discussion 2
In 2010, Arizona passed a state statute aimed at illegal immigrants. Discuss what the statute would permit the police to do, and whether immigration crimes should be handled under the jurisdiction of federal or state law.
The statute SB 1070 passed April 23, 2010 to allow the curtailing of illegal immigrants in the State of Arizona and United States. Based upon this Arizona passed a state statute to fulfill the acts of the SB 1070 statute. This would allow the police to detain and ask for immigration documents and if unable to produce would be looked as a criminal act and deported. Also, there is an allowance for people to sue local government or agencies if federal or state immigration law is not enforced. The local jurisdiction which involves the state level and federal have the right to stop, request immigration paperwork, apprehend if lacking, process and relay to deportation.

Compare and contrast “civil” and “criminal” contempt, and the punishments applied to each type.
Reference to and excerpt from:
http://litigation.findlaw.com/going-to-court/civil-contempt-of-court.html
Contempt of Court – refers to actions which are of a defiant nature of a Court’s authority and involves the casting of disrespect on a court or impedes the Court’s ability to function properly.
Civil Contempt – happens when a party (either defendant or prosecutor) fails to adhere to an order by the Court which causes injury to either the defendant or prosecutor by lack of compliance. Either can receive a fine or time in jail and be kept indefinitely until compliance is met and are denied their civil rights.
Criminal Contempt – involves the actions of a party causing a serious disruption in a court room, yelling at the judge or refusing to testify before a grand jury – not taking the 5th. Either can receive a fine or a certain amount of time in jail.
WEEK 10 DISCUSSION 1
Describe how “gangs” may be distinguished from “organized crime” associations based upon the nature of their organizations.
Gangs are groups of people that associate with the same purpose in mind of claiming territory and engaging in violent, criminal behavior to intimidate and assert control. These gangs include motorcycle gangs who are sometimes looked as social pariahs because they are lawless, don’t respect any legalistic norms and go from city to city causing mayhem. Further they are strict advocates of violation of conspiracy against rights.
Reference from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/conspiracy_against_rights below:
This entails the facts that two or more conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, and intimidate any person in free exercise or enjoyment of rights by committing acts of sexual violence such as rape, sodomy, oral violations with the sole purpose of ruination of that person’s good name and character. A further act of conspiracy against rights is the usage of strong arm tactics to intimidate teachers, attorneys and coerce governmental officials by deliberate set-ups to gain control of their actions.
Other gangs have members who are able to blend in and give off the semblance of respectability and do their acts of criminal suppression in an undercover fashion with a few more participants and is readily apparent to a discerning eye and knowledge of ways to attempt to act respectable but with hidden ulterior motives. Knowledge and assimilating new acts of technology is the reason why they are on campuses and online educational programs to learn and evolve their criminal acts to higher levels.
Reference from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organized_crime below:
Organized crime is defined as transnational, national, or local groupings of highly centralized enterprises run by criminals for the purposes of engaging in illegal activity, most commonly for monetary profit and control. Under this category falls criminal organization such as terrorist organizations who are politically motivated.
The difference between the two involves the very structure…a gang is not formally organized in as organized crime is. Organized crime has been around for a long time and has so many hidden facets that will never be discovered in their structure and the “no-talk theory” is prevalent throughout and cannot be bribed, seduced, or cajoled to have someone do something for them. Its purpose as usual is to avoid detection…members of organized crime have to be invisible and not be able to detect whereas a gang of thugs are relatively new to the game and are not masters of organized crime and can be gettable, took down and busted out. Transparent to eyes, ears that hear and walls that talk they will never be allowed to function if they commit acts of treason or cause travail to this country.

Discuss the elements prosecution needs to prove to obtain a RICO conviction (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Criminal Enterprise Statute), and what limits federal jurisdiction in these cases.
Referenced and excerpt from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racketeer_Influenced_and_Corrupt_Organizations_Act
RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Criminal Enterprise Statute) is racketeering activity that includes an act or threat which includes murder, forms of kidnapping, gambling, arson, robbery, bribery whether with monetary assets or sexual favors, extortion which could involve threat to expose obscene sexual matters or sexual acts that could jeopardize a career, selling or distributing a controlled substance or listed chemical that could be classified as a non-controlled substance is chargeable as felony and punishable under state law because it violates the law under title 18, United States Code.
The elements that prosecution needs to prove are easily and readily apparent any violation and intentional acts against legalistic norms are able to proved by violating any of these codes and is easy to apply the correct penal codes or statutes to attribute the amount of time to be served if any activity violates these following codes in a court of law.
Examples that reflect violations of these codes are as follows:

Week 10 Discussion 1 - JUVENILE D.
The current trend today is to hold juveniles more accountable for the crimes they commit. What do you consider are the top three challenges to the juvenile justice system today? How do factors such as technology, the current economic downturn and decreasing school and government budgets affect the juvenile system?
The top three challenges to the juvenile justice system today would probably be the mounting evidence reflecting that community based practices are more effective than large correctional facilities. Upward spurts of acts of criminality by juveniles, overcrowded sections reflect danger for juveniles and funding issues. Further the inability to meet federal standards are unable to be met and renders the juvenile system inability to accommodate juvenile too dangerous to be placed in the juvenile system and must be processed in the adult criminal system.
Factors such as technology affect the current economic downturn and decreases school and government budgets by causing a decrease in funding available due to economic stress. If the school and government budgets are reduced this will cause a deflection of funds away from the juvenile system and cause more juveniles to be processed in the adult system. New technology also will allow the increase of apprehending, processing and sentencing of juveniles and allow more proficient and accurate records to be kept.

WEEK 9 DISCUSSION 2
Compare and contrast terrorism from other violent criminal acts, and what makes the critical difference.
Terrorism is a form of control that entails the usage of coercion, manipulation and subjugation to cause fear (terror) and is usually perpetrated by zealots, religious groups with a political or ideological goal in mind to achieve no matter the cost. The weakest sector in society is civilians and is the usual target because they are not trained to formulate defensive strategies of mental or physical combat. Based on the above thought this is an unlawful act of war and promise of violence. By exposing weakness this allows access to the Achilles heel and begins the formulated plan of destruction from within.
Terrorism is at its best an insidious viper that plots and manipulates without anyone’s knowledge (back stabbing) whereas violent criminal acts are premeditated and done frontally and has no long thought out plan. Both entails acts of violence, death and destruction but terrorism has wide and far effects that leaves ripples of shock, mayhem and mass destruction and require a need to run to the port and protect borders and lines of this country.
Tactics that local law enforcement agencies are doing to prevent terrorism are:
1. Rally fast and retaliate quickly
2. Preplanned response to acts of unknown threats
3. No goal to far and wide to protect
4. Pull in the Feds immediately after threat is ascertained
My opinion is thusly stated – It is a state of traumatic violence that affects all levels which require unified defense unanimously at once to halt, destroy, circumvent and destroy threat.

Week 9 Discussion 1
Give a brief summary of a case from your local or national newspaper where the defendant is charged with possession, trafficking, or sale of illegal drugs.
Lions Running Back – Mikel Leshore
Has pleaded guilty to having marijuana in his possession on Friday, August 24, 2012 two months ago in court (Berrien County). He was fined $575 for having possession of and chewing marijuana.

The war on drugs has been going on for over 40 years. Discuss which of the drug-fighting tactics are working the best and which should be dropped because they are ineffective. State your rationale.
Proposed Rejection Keep
Heavy policing Zero Tolerance Drug Policy
Drug sniffing dogs in schools Abuse and Control Act
Elaborate stake outs (costly sting operations) Anti-Drug Acts and National Drug Control Policy
Counseling Sessions State Narcotics Acts
Narcotics Control Act of 1956
Narcotics Addict Rehabilitation Act of 1966
The Drug Enforcement Agency in 1973
1986 Anti-Drug Abuses Act
Citizens Watch Groups
Most of the activities that are done to prevent drug abuse and selling of narcotics are of a necessity and the ones that I feel are ineffective and serve no purpose are the ones in the category of proposed rejections. Heavy policing does nothing but cause a cessation in that area and a relocation of drug activities in another sector. Drug sniffing dogs in schools equate to a lack of time because they know that they will be disciplined if they brought substances into the school and that is the number one spot a competitor will look if they want to knock them out and obligate them to supplier for money they can’t get without the product. Elaborate stake outs are rather useless because everyone knows everybody in those neighborhoods and the odds of coming up with a genuine bust is rather unrealistic and probably staged. Counseling sessions are not going to help because some people come in with preconceived thoughts that will not allow adjustment or change.

Driving under the influence of alcohol causes the most criminal homicide deaths annually. Explain why you think such a dangerous substance continues to be legal in the United States, and what you would recommend to help resolve this problem.
Alcohol consumption has been prevalent since this country has founded and it is a substance that each individual has the right to consume. Further, it is rather big business and back by many prominent people and taking on and trying to stop the usage of alcohol or spirits was already done during the prohibition era with no results but bloodshed and lots of violence and death. The overindulging in drinking alcohol is the problem not the consumption of a drink or two…learning to know what is good for your health is a number one priority and having concern for others if you are driving is number two and the most generous gift that you can give others if you are going to drive. Just be safe and not sorry and don’t be the one to take someone’s love and little ones away from them.

Week 9 Discussion - JUVENILE D.
Which argument do you support – the psychological factors that lead to juvenile gang membership or the social factors? Support your argument detailing the underlying philosophy and theory of both factors. Does a juvenile’s gender, race or ethnic background matter in your opinion and why?
The argument that support the psychological viewpoint that reflects that due to a need to belong these desires for belonging help a juvenile attribute and obtain closeness. Gangs serve as substitute families and provide inner nurturing that may not be done elsewhere. A youth’s age is paramount to success in the assimilation process of beguilement into criminal activities and other nocturnal ventures – sexual or violent. Further the acts of truancy is readily available and supported by all in gangs and the adage “there is alleged strength in numbers” and protection from others that are a threat to them.
Both psychological and social factors are affective variables that cause alteration in behavioral patterns that are not of a positive mien but are detrimental overall. Social factors are increasingly noted to reflect that influence comes from backgrounds of low socioeconomic backgrounds, neighborhoods that have existing gangs with a high prevalence in juvenile delinquency. Further poor parental guidance, familial past and present with high levels of criminality are affective of negative changes in youth and present gang memberships who serve as role models causes patterns of emulation. As relates to both psychological and social factors, both have high levels of low self-esteem with contributory levels of deviancy, delinquency, antisocial behavior, aggression and reflects similar characteristics reflective in gang memberships.
A juvenile’s gender, race or ethnic background does not matter in the process of assimilation, conversion and mergence and this is what reflects the possibility to be able to interact with behavioral patterns outside the norms of society.

Week 9
Middle School Movement
(Middle School 244)
This program is designed to assist children in high-poverty schools by intervening and putting kids back on track. Because problems or issues are more prevalent in middle school sometimes familial needs cause a change in life and may reflect that they have to be day keepers for their siblings, allows the possibility of involvement in gangs, association with criminal elements, doing drugs and substance abuse. The teachers may become concerned about the student’s excessive absences and reasons why they might be missing school.
Due to extenuating circumstances beyond the control of students this may cause an affective state of bad behavior, low grades and poor study habits. The administrators have reallocated resources by hiring less school aids, changing and redistributing responsibilities amongst teachers to address this situation and have hired a counselor to be on an on-call basis to help any at-risk student with any problem and monitor interventions. Further by doing this extra support statistics are collected, reviewed by a team of counselors to evaluate students progress.
Middle School 244 can be a model as a project to help students who otherwise would not get an opportunity to succeed based on the location they live in, school attended and lack of support. But as reality surfaces it allows the acknowledgement that every at-risk student may not be helped or able to be reached. Because of this schools need to use innovative, creative endeavors to initialize learning, inspire interest and desire to expand and evolve.
Lastly, just having some or all students make it is the goal for Middle School 244 and because of this it allows great strides in progress and encouragement to help them carve a future for themselves.

WEEK 8 Discussion 2
Explain what is involved in the crime known as “insider trading,” and how does it differ from commercial crime and cyber crime.
Insider trading involves the manipulation of trading secrets to sell and buy at the lowest price and sell high. Further learning the background of companies and whether they are financial stable or suffering financial hardships and using that information sold by an insider that works in the firm to make an illegal profit and gain. Insider trading also deals with securities, stocks and illegal practices and violation of trust whereas commercial crime involves practices of forgery and falsification of monetary instruments, fraud by computer in businesses, theft of items at a business, loss of contents in a safe deposit box and other losses that affect commercial business industries.

Cyber crime differentiates from insider trading because it is illegal activities conducted online (per internet) as follows (examples):
Online attacks of people’s computers (spreading viruses)
Illegal gambling
Storage of illegal or stolen information on computers

Describe what you think might happen if the government had no interest in controlling this type of behavior.
If the government had no control or interest in curtailing these activities then mass destruction of databases and invaluable information would occur. Shut down of businesses by incapacitating their ability to function, ruination of people’s lives, invasion of privacy, stolen funds from private accounts as well as governmental accounts, etc.
In regard to the subject of intellectual property fraud and copyright infringement law, discuss how the increasing Internet access and the ease of unauthorized duplication has changed your perspective on the practicality of enforcement
My view on this subject is that I am glad that enforcement is available because unscrupulous people will defame, slander and commit libel to achieve their chance to profit off the work of others. Everybody is entitled to their own thoughts, work – whether written or physically accomplished and should not have to suffer the inadequacy and insults of others who are a continual assault of ignorance and blight to those who work hard to achieve and all these attackers want to do is cheat and beat the system and try to claim this is the new American way of life. Go figure. By all means…fine their affected blight to all who work hard and enforce all the rules and statutes to check them and get them back where they belong…working hard like everybody else and being honest and glad to be in the U.S.A. where you get a chance to retain ownership of your work and property.
“Cyberbullying" is when a child, preteen or teen, is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed, or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen, or teen using the Internet, interactive and digital technologies, or mobile phones. Give a brief summary of a cyberbullying case from your local or national newspaper. Do you think that there should be harsher laws for cyberbullies?
Cyberbullying is also a behavioral pattern exhibited by adults to intimidate, crush and destroy other people’s lives. Further it is also used for stalking and assault and other criminal activities if enough parties are involved. A good example of an adult’s attack on a teenager by cyberbullying that resulted in horrendous consequences is as follows:

We do Megan and her family a great injustice if we allow ourselves to forget her. The suffering and fate of that little girl still bothers me.

Give a brief summary of a cyberbullying case from your local or national newspaper. Do you think that there should be harsher laws for cyberbullies?
The first order of discussion I wanted to include is the case of “In-person bullying still bigger problem than cyberbullying” according to this article dated August 4, 2012 this type of aggressive behavioral patterns are widely more prevalent than cyberbullying based on studies. I feel that if the study requested personal information then accuracy of information received may be biased and not reflect a true accuracy. Stepping back from a situation is not the try way to acknowledge a situation is occurring and race, gender is still reason why such behavior is ignored but sometimes the ability to grow stronger results from this treatment . Seek help and therapy and grow stronger.

SATURDAY, Aug. 4 (HealthDay News) -- Face-to-face bullying is far more common than cyberbullying among youth and should be the main focus of prevention programs, according to an expert.
Psychologist Dan Olweus, of the University of Bergen, in Norway, said his findings in several large-scale studies challenge the widespread belief that cyberbullying is the major problem. He was scheduled to present his research Saturday at the American Psychological Association's annual meeting in Orlando, Fla.

This article dated October 13, 2010, relays that a dying girl was cyberbullied by adult neighbors and is receiving support from across the world. Kathleen only 7 years of age was heartlessly bullied by grown people (male and female) who made fun of her illness (degenerative brain disease) by putting harmful remarks on facebook and gory paintings on their vehicle to taunt and torment her. There is no information listed as of today in this article if the little girls is still alive her mom passed approximately one year prior of the same malady and her grandmother was or is taking care of her if she is still alive.
Based on the nature of how far and low some people will subject a little one to on the internet of all places … I would recommend putting them under the jail if I had the authority to do so. I don’t like people who torture and torment children…well behaved children should stay in their place and not try to attack grown up and vice versa. I recommend that laws be put into effect immediately to halt and correct this behavior….community service if they have no money…get there the best way they can…fines if they are able to pay….just administrate some type of punishment for this type of cruel torture and mental anguish they make people suffer unnecessarily.
Thank you.
Felicia
