Inspired by The Wind by Robert Louis
Stevenson located in A Children’s Book of Verse, Illustrated by Eric
Kincaid, Poems selected by Marjorie Rogers. (Brimax Books)
A blowing afierce
it can when it’s riled at the play of humans mean
The birds of
air say nay nay we know when to shelter shelter for the wind whispered I am mad
mad at them all
No kites
will fly today today for I am throwing a mighty loud tantrum tantrum to show
them all who I am
Brr Brr Brr
the wind growled here I come here I come
rounded up in anger for you think I am stupid stupid that I don’t hear you
Differing
weather makes no difference I saw what you did and told God what I saw I saw
and told told told and he said go ahead and disturb them all and blow them
everywhere until they understand the same
The same the
wind whispered in low key yes the same that I am herico herosha kalla alem and
will destroy them all if they do not mind the way I have them
The way is
the justice and love of the Lord find me and I am you and you will be uplifted
and the wind will love thee
