A Tale of Two Sides Rivals the One

Inspired by The Signifying Monkey by Anonymous located in A Children’s Book of Verse, Illustrated by Eric Kincaid, Poems selected by Marjorie Rogers. (Brimax Books)

Listening to conversation of one became the intertwining of three

Hearsay hearsay says the traveling vine hearsay hearsay is worthless in law of court said the wise scribe
I said it true said originator that you are not what you think but a fool to plot and play against

Stirring up the masses he lied she lied they lied until the truth was lost never found in cover darkness wide far
Around the word the orchestrator conducted the vines of the grape day by day with exceeding virulent intentional vents of jealous rage to hurt hurt hurt harm harm harm disguise disguise disguise the true crimes committed

Lying became portraying of the truth for future morality liberty trandescence evening of sins reveal them all but matter not
Staying abreast of the clamor became the game to watch the discard of all civil manners of not clash clash clash against all social norms accepted whether known or not still the original tale of fabrication became the champion of the truth until the challenger came super charged with God and said I am his sword no lie shall ever persist to fly against any that know who I portray as my faith bread soul

Waiting watching steadily they continue on with cell of one brain to try to defeat the inevitable failure failure failure loser loser loser is the only crown they will wear and win
