A Rat in the Day or Night

Inspired by He was a Rat written by Anonymous located in A Children’s Book of Verse, Illustrated by Eric Kincaid, Poems selected by Marjorie Rogers. (Brimax Books)

A rat of renown he made his plot known boasting abridge he did on pedestal platform it matter not for power was his temporarily game

Series of chats he kept us all abreast of news of devious underhand shows he betows us

Lover and husband he was to witch a bitch she was but still a rat

Living luxuriously they did still satisfied they were not with lot in life of power prestige currying favor is game

Both were coin of each side flip flip flip all the same as pea as pods they reflect the rude cruel

Each wanted cheese of not theirs no limits too foul they restrict themselves not

Twisting Twisting each opportune moment like a screw of fine till the days go long

Plans of corrupt achieve they both purr purr yours is finer the plot fulfilled

Invisible the tail exist it does but world remark I see it not on accord it flicks flicks tricks us all irregardless of sight beknown

Plotting another plot of cheese of others wanted fast forward they schemed schemed until the day reflect a folly’s twist became the end of both them all

The End
