Big Sister, Little Sister

Inspired by Big Sister, Little Sister, written by LeUyen Pham.

In a family of question comes a thought of wonder

Sister to sister is big to small

Moving faster sister of big makes the way

Little sister watch play and do the same

Flying high Big sister eyes gleamer with mirth and smart

Little sister see her clear and understand her dear

Clothes aplenty scatter away everyway and wind below

Whirlwind churned and straighten with impatience and snap

Teaching long and dear Big sister looks and endear

Right and wrong the game begins for older and wiser cracks she all day

Giving credit she said you’re right wrong I am

Look at a thought she exclaimed I’m right as time ticked she portray

Fuss a little she exclaim I am old and young

Sometimes she watch a play and little one say yeah

Looking sophisticated with lips of rouge Big sister smiled looking young with lips of too much color

Little sister sighed and cried

Big sister yawned deep and watched the dawn rise and cry awake Little sister looked at the clock and scowled and said no

Big sister said I will teach you anyway how to play, agree and nod the way

Laughing free and wild Big sister exclaimed I’m the Little sister now and get to go away and said clue the time is about

Yesterday was a nay but tomorrow Little sister is Big sister day to scold and stand the way for the pain is good and true for a duty is day and God is the way
