5. Different investigative and anti-fraud preventive techniques as listed below:

Product & Brand Protection (holograms, smart inks, security marking, anti-counterfeit/fraud, tagging and tracking, nano bar coding, watermarks, sensory packaging)

Identification & Authentication (biometrics, offender tracking, photofit, DNA, LOAC, fingerprint analysis, voice recognition)

Monitoring & Detection (advanced building materials, biosensors for warfare, enhanced surveillance techniques, protective wear, explosives detection)

6. GPS (Global Positioning System) – is a surveillance
device that tracks as well as pinpoint locality of
criminal locations as well people positioning.
7. Install Security and Scanning Software
8. Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV)

The ability to use new technology to commit crimes is made even readily apparent by the way professional scam artists who use any method to gain access to other people records to commit these cyber crimes.

1. Hacking – ability to illegally access another computer network and view documents, files and confidential data and use it for personal gain.

2. Phishing – A method in which people are duped into providing their own personal data to a thief posing as a legitimate dealer or business person.

3. E-mail Scams – are scams and pop-ups that are not legitimate and have been sent to acquire funds illegally.

Open net spaces (data traveling through wires and air
from computer to computer

Ease of stealing another’s identity

Get away without being caught

Amass a lot of cash quickly and illegally

Ability to obtain crack codes, pins and passwords

Ability to send a false paper trail or cyber trail

Entering peoples websites, email, Face book and making
fraudulent entries
