Inspired by The Skippery Boo written by Earl L. Newton located in A Children’s Book of Verse, Illustrated by Eric Kincaid, Poems selected by Marjorie Rogers. (Brimax Books)

Day by Day a quest drove a man in wilds of wilds

Equipped with eyes of keen he hunted the forest long hours long seeking the legend of fable

With thoughts aflurry he reminiscence of tales heard around campfires built large of a creature of unknown that scared the soul and befuddled the mind to numb

Shivering in the heat he recalled the foot prints of huge given note to existence a creature of great huge size that left a path of to indicate a tail of rigged zigzag that ground image in dirt

Returning back he came with witness to see place marked and all prints were gone and none believed him no more for his trusty tale has no proof to fulfill the hunt to be done
