CITY OF SAGINAW POSTING – FIVE

I am writing regarding property located at Genesee Avenue and Webber Street and it is quite extensive and is enabled with ability to place structural designed plants or plant to help revitalize the City of Saginaw and allow revenue to be amassed and be used to halt the dying of this city.

Eventually, there will be no decent housing structures for the Citizens of Saginaw who are trying to be beneficial contributing citizens. Further, this area can also serve as an abutment to the prospective remodeled and sold plant north of this property with this land and plant reserved it can be revamped with sectional businesses of approved chains that are stability in times of recession and depression and in the present state that we are encased within.

Another reason I feel a park is unnecessary is that most citizens on this side of Saginaw are black and there is an inordinate amount of racial tension intertwined into this city that would impede the usability of a park and the expenditure of monies that is needed to help citizens upscale their properties and reinforce their choice to live in this city and help stop decay in its tracks.

As I transverse the City of Saginaw taking mental notes I see the impoverish cry within and want to educate and tell all we need to retain these large sections for plants for the continuance and support of school operation.

Currently, this property is zoned RA-1, not contaminated, acreage is 54 acres, and if we could obtain an industrial zoning then it would simply the organization, development and structural base for starting a businesses here with easier access of those who have no transportation.

Further, we have parks all over the City of Saginaw which are not being used and are deteriorating due to lack of activity and care and due to crime for which a security guard would need to be there to keep the peace and stabilize the area and help concerned parents be more at ease with allowing their children out of their site. The bigger the park the more security is needed. Also, who would be obligated for the upkeep of this park and for how long…would an agreement have to be drafted to ensure both parties uphold their duties?

Consequently, suppose the City of Saginaw has unfortunately been burdened with this new parks expenditures and upkeep where would the monies come from when access to internet is limited and is in coordination with books and fines.

We need internet access for our students more than a park for the enrichment and cultivating of their minds and evolve them to take up their new positioning as our future.

Thank you.

Felicia
