Frederick Douglass - A Man of True and Nobleness

Inspired this book - Frederick Douglass A Noble Life written by David A. Adler.

Born a slave he was true to the star that said his name for you are you are

Free he became to fight fight for his people of this great nation with no thought of bigotry

Supporter Supporter of the women’s rights he was steadfast on his stance to ensure their rights

Goaded Goaded he was continuous was he by his master’s perfidy that delighted him so until Frederick’s mind trembled

A turning point occurred occurred when he was taught to read against all laws was he

Despite the risks he pressed on learning learning until true dissatisfaction prevailed but bitter the root he pressed on anyway

Meeting a man of pious faith embedded relayed to him the word of spoken as he learned the word of God

Liberty Liberty rangs its sweet bell and it sang freedom freedom to all enslaved and bondage held and a star beamed twinkling yes yes yes

Anna Murray friend love of Frederick Douglass loved him dear and helped him run run away for safety’s net she wanted to see for him and marriage was the key to life of free

Traveling Traveling on a train that chug chug slow fast as time began to clamor clamor and fear fear caught his tongue immobile him fast and long

Working job of many in New Bedford humble he toiled hard suffering prejudice and discrimination but still freedom proved its worth with “The Liberator” to lead the charge fierce against slavery

Frederick Douglass meeting William Lloyd Garrison proved a turning point for he was deemed correct a man not property, thing, or anything of nature unfair for he stood for the multitudes of colors in his race

A lecturer he became of so effective that he indeed fought rigorous for the cause of abolition and the light to freedom all

A living testimony he wrote revealing all of horrors of many of being slaved, beat, and then accused of a rant of a negro versus a creditable man of white

Accused of not writing his autobiography still Frederick Douglass stood firm and acknowledge the slur of libel brandied in his nose and ridicule mockery true of his work of literacy genius that a supposed ignorant negro could not possibly know

Appreciative of all he relayed grace of claims true for his rights parlayed the theory of educational facilitory abilities acknowledged and feared

Hypocrisy ruled the nest of ego that besmirched the principle of equality for indeed it betrays the nation with principles denied ad oppressed

Oppression Oppression is indeed a madman’s malady of court, seduced and follied with

For indeed the July fourth of each year although cherished is still a black man’s or woman’s denial of rights, equality, liberty and justice riddled with mockery and jests of care not

Still pride raises the flag for hope rang true for it embraces the love of God and Christianity and the sword against slavery and injustice

Again Again the pen proved true to assault inequality and cruelty so that the public’s mind would hear and send slavery fast to a grave of stone and indifference and regret

Insulted insecure for he could not speak for others of the charge of mental deficiencies rang loud and true as slavery continued on and on as reflective of the black race

The North Star was Frederick Douglass newspaper that dealt with the slave community reflected it was a star of freedom and hope of freedom sought and seeked long

Purpose true was to oppose and attack slavery, support universal emancipation, exalt public morality and promote the moral and intellectual improvement of colored people with freedom ringing the bells of free free at last

Advocate for the Underground Railroad Frederick Douglass aided as many as he could one slave after another for he remembered bitter sweet the memories past that haunted present

Proclaimed free men and women were indeed told let those free work to tender, mind their business and yours yours and let him or her work as will for free he she is to learn and live a life of degrade free

As true testament as friendly as some white people are and just the disadvantages as Frederick Douglass relayed are still evident and laborious to all concerned

Our nation young in its State of Liberty with slavery as old time mother still suffers obstructions but we push on despite the hidden, the obvious, and concern for proper deportment in our acts as well as our good acts
