SPECIAL POEMS OF THIS CLASS

The God Poem

Hard is a stone
Mercy soft as a hand
Give me thine hand
and mercy will I bestow thee
Ask me and I will lead thee
Follow and I will see thee
Look at me and I will Pray for thee
Love me not and I will forsake thee
Cherish me an I will keep thee and
bestow mercy Forever

CHILDHOOD POEM

Life is short and sweet
Childhood is secretive and alone
Eyes big and small
Mind flowing deep
Hands tiny, sweet and trusting
Love as deep as forever
Forms small and big
Tree to sorrow bright
See me love me until endless night
I am yours from beginning end

LOVE POEM

World turns each way, No place will I be allowed to stay
Flip this way and that pledge thou not, My mind is awhirl with all thoughts I see, I hear, I care not, My truest love I wait for thee
Turns, twists, obstacles have blessed my path, I wonder not why,
I found you not My soul hunger for thy sweetest touch
My love is aflame with desire not, See me, hear me, my world has stopped in one place, My mind has stilled with leaps and jumps
I see, I care, I hunger aflame with loves quest, Once my heart was ice and stone, Not it is what, Touch me love least I perish from starvation though I feast, Let my love not dry, See me, hear me, enslave my heart, Let not tomorrow be a folly twist
See me, hear me, shelter me in thine strong arms and let my
head rest against thine strong chest and let thy heart ring in my ear
Love me till tomorrow's yesterday.

FAMILY POEM #2

The moon was grey and hard
Timeless past thru moonless pale fool
Former summer gleamer
A morrow is a still
Try as I may a cool summer breeze touch my eye seen
Mother tough hard soft
mean harsh mellow
Sometimes not seen hard
Eternally young old senile
Bright gloom happy
Smart bright flash
Noisy loud chatter box quiet
Moon was old and young yet ageless
Group together fellows strive mercy
Separate part mesh bind and stay
Still creep the moon at night
Cold air chill soul alone
Tail donkey impossible
A forest field crossed
Family is a mirror of all who see
Centuries span and end in a brief second
Life is a string that has no end
Blood is to real as life is to mother
Faith is to clock that see a true mother
Newborn is to generation that sets a mother apart
Family is to directions that still aflame a mother’s heart
Directions is to meet as way is to sorrow
Life is to change as Mother is to stay
Eyes bright and full tears of what do
Sad is to night as laughter is harken
Strength is to eternal as flesh is to weaken
Age is to eternal as youth as to chirp
Hands clasped solace gained not
Lowered head lifted high
Back straight walk tight
Mind clear starry winds no hear
Harsh cold discipline not
Cool hot sweat tinkle from furrow brow
Lazy thought never conceived work endless toil a lot
Loyalty never question steadfast on degree a chart
Reading span attention exceed stars
People is to nectar and sweet as honey do she be
Help one help all is creed that is to life
Travel hesitate not see beyond drawn curtains eye
Paper is to writing as writing is to forever
Contentment is as a cup of spring water to a man who thrist

FREEDOM POEM

Winds blow calm as night
Owls eyes gleam fierce cold
Mass lights reflect a star made bold
Twinkling, rippling brooks laughing happily
Two lovers seek to be free
Lovers dance naked freely two
Eyes aglow with raptures delight the eyes
Sins forgotten through lovers quest although sins
Merrily spins the cuckoo nest of who fools merrily
Thoughts of fleeing this savage life uppermost in thoughts
Mind bogs with plans to be leave now leave fast
Life short fill with misery work
Till dawn until way after the sun goes down toil
Abreast a stallion we a teasing
Fly like eagle fleet of wind
Never return may not we
For death awaits they capture we
Love of air as tresses to free
Blink of eye see me never or not

The Journey Poem

Life began short
Toil and Sweat I began
Feet tingle I thee forth
Money I question not
Around I see that cannot be bought
Up and down the river I flow
Schemes and maps appear before my eye
Begin the quest deny
Kick aside protest do me
For passing this test blue
Makes a traveler quest two
Twinkle around on glitz toes
Many more will I see
Merry I go to lands unknown
Blood hot to not cool it yes
Experience this treasure of life
I free myself of all strife
Traveling, Traveling I go

LIFE AS IT MAY
(Sestina)

GREAT THINGS COME SMALL
SEA PATTERNS TURN AROUND
LIVE EACH DAY COME WHAT MAY
SAD IS THE DAY IS LONG
MORROW'S SONG CALL THE YOUNG
TODAY WE CELEBRATE A SUDDEN

LIFE IS GOOD AND MAY END SUDDEN
CIRCLE OF LIFE AND WHEEL SMALL
PROTECT AND LIVE FOR THE YOUNG
SAD DAYS MAY SOON END AROUND
YET MORROW'S DAY LAST LONG
BIG AND SMALL IS WHAT MAY

SUNFLOWERS
(Villanelle)

BRIGHT AND YELLOW SWEET
GLEAMING FIERY IN THE AIR
GOLD AND WARM AS THE SUN

BECKON TO ALL WHO SEE
FLUTTER WILDLY IN THE BREEZE
BRIGHT AND YELLOW SWEET

TWIST AND TURN MERRILY DANCE
PETAL YELLOW AND MIDDLE SEA
GOLD AND WARM AS THE SUN

SOLID AND TRIM THEY BE
SPINNING AND TWIRLING AGLOW
BRIGHT AND YELLOW SWEET

LISSOM AND FIRM AS RAINBOWS END
SOFT AS A BABY'S CHEEK
GOLD AND WARM AS THE SUN

FUZZY AS A CATERPILLAR'S LEAP
STALKS STRAIGHT AS A SOLDIER'S BACK
BRIGHT AND YELLOW SWEET
GOLD AND WARM AS THE SUN

MYSTERY OF AN ENGLISH SONNET
(Sonnet)

Eyes of the sky
Crave the sweet sigh
Fly swift a doves cry
Foolish blink does her eye
Comes the fear of tomorrow row
Sad and happy days aplenty abide
Try as hard at today's tow
Each other has one to take a side
Mean cruel days fly free
Rob tomorrow to pay and end
But yesterday will always see
Lonely days may not seem to bend
Happy days appear always amay
Lovers blue no more but travel and flow

FLY BALLOON AS YOU MAY
(A special prose poem)

Balloon flying high in the sky, fleet of
feet they are of lovers quest running down a merry
lane they go where no one knows but they. Sad and happy
paint upon their faces they wiggle and chase a lad
down a narrow aisle of flowers sweet going faster than
merry go rounds twirl of gray and yellow. "Help" he
calls I cannot be a merry balloon I am not seen many
twirls a turns I will not be. Kaleidoscopes aglow in one
corner is to seek a sad and lonely soul to capture and keep
but not aglow a true wish. "Lie" cry the boy I have not
agreed to such a folly as then you see. Merry ways are to
much to be. Flap Flap goes the balloons to catch another
glee.
