Blood and its Magic

Inspired by A Drop of Blood, written by Paul Showers, Illustrated by Don Madden.

Inside spiraling like a tree is vessels of veins that carry blood everywhere inside our bodies freely

If a prick of skin makes a hole out flows the blood to wash the spot and prepare for healing today

Whether large or small comes what may the flow free to sanitize the spot to build a fibrin net to scab

Blood is full of cells of red that float in plasma oceans

Tiny Tiny are the cells that joyously dance and play for they are round flat and look like a mint of gold

Magic is the blood for they move like busy traffic lanes coming going flowing rich free

Puff Puff is the oxygen in the red cells that received its help help from the lungs to deliver to all muscles bones brain stomach intestines and your heart

Assimilate fine is food food into liquid of nourish to blood which helps everything strong grow to every bone muscles fingers toes brain

Taping along is white cells bigger bigger than red cells but fewer fighting fighting with protective care against germs with capricious appetite devouring all

Platelets run run cover a cut by helping build a net of fibrin threads catching red white cells within to form a scab of protective cover

Revolving evolving over over red white cells platelets begin anew day by day replacing renewing renewing over over
