Imani and Tanji

A sleep we ago atight a night when owls sing

Creepy crawlers might howl through the night but we care not

Shadows parade around modeling clothing of unseen by those who walk the day

Wolves howl the night saying we alone we alone for no one cares

The moon whispers I am cold cold for I am far away and no one is here to love me

My friend Tanji purrs deep in throat of thick and says I am here to love you Imani, moon and wolves I am your friend lets roam the hills bright and far

Racing racing we run as the wind whispers you win you win I can’t catch you but I love you with fingery caresses on faces of loyal

Replete and satisfied of friends won Tanji snuggled Imani close with his big noble leonine head next to hers and slept as his whiskers twisted and smiled
