Inspired by Cronus, D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths, written by Ingri and Edgar Parin D'Aulaires.
Reining proud high on mountain of the most high on Earth he ruled as supreme
Obeyed by will the other gods appeased him and early man devoted time and worshipped him
Golden was the age when peace and happy reined free as men and gods killed each other not and stole nay
Cronus defied his mother’s request to free his monstrous ugly brothers and knew he plotting cunning to bring him to fall for he knew she waited waited for one strong to oppose him wrong
Predicting the strength of his all of whom were gods born of his Titaness Wife Rhea he swallowed them all to cast aside no threat to him and his rule
A son of sixth came aforth and Rhea schemed and cheated her husband of his predilection and gave him stone instead of her child wrapped swaddled to devour instead and spirited hid her son far away
Cronus Cronus afooled this once made Rhea happy happy to have son survive for his name was Zeus the God of little became the God of Thunder Rain Hell Domain and grew in cave of secret with the conspiracy hid by sprites of noisy battle
