William Gabriel A Man of Many Facets

A shifty side of a rogue with an eye of mean flint
Eyes abrimming with unholy mirth first me then next you
Chuckles tinkling deep within saying I am the one
Teach Teach her a lesson of a trickery one that said Judas is me
Lazy sorry a man who won’t work for a dime
A winner A winner I am for I took her to bank and stole her thru
Shrouded in mystery, deceit his honor is naught as the lance he holds dear
A pawn for a woman he stands ashift in the ground of uneven sand
Colorfast he say they say but a blink of change became the coward’s time and way
Steel she put in his back and greed, avarice suffice to become his blood
Laughter changed as the tune played out that a lackey and flunky he became as the wind said “too bad”
As he walked they said “hee hee” who he think he be
A shiftless man of no repute a scheming creature think he can do
Smiles in eyes of mean despise looking at him and say
