A NIGGER'S TEARS

Drops of pain surfaced a face of sweet face refined.
Looking at each drop with disdain none cared to wipe away a streak of furrows.
Channeling paths crossed many significant journeys these tracks encompassed thoughts of past thrashing of life and troubles.
Looking at neither for or against these pebbles of rocks thundered against skin of soft and hard.
Crying songs of centuries of misery they clapped as bolts of thunder to announce all.
Trembling and shaking these tears gathered as storms of yesterday's destiny and fate.
Caring not for announcement they lived with life of vibrancy shimmering with rainbows enclasped within each drop.
Wiping tenderly they clasped each finger with thoughts of sad remembrance.
Shaking and gazing deep at each they murmured soon soon a day will come.
Fortunes brought not but tears of pain, sorrow, remember well a life of free zeal. By Felicia McCaw
