TENEKA OF THE BLACK SUN

Eyes of black pools of swimming ivory
Skin of purest smooth black velvet
She walked the day as protected sweet moonless sun
Eyes of tenderness she gazed at husband dear
Looking courageously she faced each day with a lady's need
Heart of plenty see a fool's need
Forgiving, strong, she began her tirade of discipline long
Loving arms embrace children with a mother's growing need to protect
all day long
Hearts of half she will share with all surely family began
Making sure all well she give more than received
Knowing a folly she divert and leave a path of no return
