Mane of lioness her hair flowed rippling freely
Catch her no knees up she said pumping faster than a river
sail
Track, spokeperson, actress, writer, sport caster, wife,
mother she beamed sun
Strong of mind wit she razed them all
Feet flashing and churning the dirt below she ran faster
faster she became the run
Humble graced she stayed the same
Independent wave a flag like the grace she became as the
American Dream
Never forgotten will she be a nation saddened at her lost
