ROSE OF LOVE

Hearts aflamed sad not I
Twist turn a maze I run along
Free my heart will never be
He captured me without chains
Looks from others askance say why
Guess what I care not
Petals gently fold back
Slowly unfurling around him
Softly he strummed my love
Twisting his sweet flesh the rose sigh
Lips soft pouting ripe and pucker
Caress me sweet love me deep
Past thorns aplenty he came past
Knock asunder the walls built fast as Jericho
Love come open thy will to me
Lay sweetly beside my side
Why should I betray me will you
Quest forever will this hard-nosed suitor will
Quaint I ain’t but pursue me fast and long
Quiescent am I when battle of wills cease to clash
Gentle as dove see me as his love
Forever in his heart I gain
Never leave his loving embrace nay
None appeal to me as thee
Hard as nails he be my
Scandal and gossip lead to place wish I they
Surprise surprise my love know all
Despise me all keep self apart from world and all gone craze
Luancy is not what we seek
Godless creatures beware God’s wrath
Step warily me and love do see doom for all of thee
Murder approved by all self-righteous fool stalkers
Money greed crazed diseased people seek hurt all good
Petals of my love soft but hard when love threatened
Days past long and empty without thee
Sadly mope I round and portly become me
Empty is my heart till fill as wine
Each day joy and misery I see
Life never come better beg leave
Patience will stand guard tell
Nothing left for bluestocking learning events
Travel my foot itches go
Ignore all will scandalous one forever
My lot in life made sour and foul stench from they that
follow me I must endure
Cherish not I this sad motley crew God save
Habitat not I with this grungy lot
Oasis by self if I must
Speak see acknowledge not never
Love must endure I think not
Lonely path travel along without losing dignity
