KEIKEI MY LITTLE LOVE

My sweet baby pea
Loving and sweet he
Taken from me harshly
Soul clear as sweetest water
Lord God preserve his sweet soul
Keep him near and far
Safe from cruel evil deeds
Now I worry no more safe
Cradled in Loves gentle arms
Never sport again from cruel spits
Safe safe is my Little KeiKei
Spirit intertwined with mine
My Little Love is here all the time
Memories fresh and dear
Keep close to my heart sweet

Yellow Alabaster

Clear skin as yellow jade
Cruel sport made of him
Laughter and ridicule hit his ears
Evil tracks his steps
Life flowing slow
Sad eyes look from within
Why me why me cry he
Little one I have near
Who keep my precious safe
Life fail me sad make
Who keep my precious safe
Mercy mercy cry he
Strengthen me Lord strengthen
Steps firm I ask
Life short and yet long
Enemies crush all around
Evil white pale seek
Nothing safe while around
God watch shudder when he come
World rock assunder beneath his steps
Evil white pale challenge God
Sad is the day long
Vengeance comes pale horse
Step back before late
Life is good to some not all
Yellow Alabaster and Little Owl
Live happily same them God

12TH STREET ALLURE

Gruesome thoughts a mind filled
Ladies fair and treated harsh
Sad eyes follow wistfully
Mouth bruised with crying
Lashed and tied they be
Crushed heart like petals soft
Soul cringes further deep
Flee mad fiend flee
Law travel fast intercept
Nasty thoughts abide everywhere
Innocent lassies they be
Evil tracks their every night
Nightmares scream thru the night
Help me help someone please
Eyes look with wounded sighs
Why me why me cry they all
Guilty of small and little
Why me why me cry they all
Lust drive a stupid man mad
Separate this fool from the good
Gnashing teeth ground he
Tearing at chains this animal bee
No conscious this depraved dog be
Snap snap the whip make this bitch heel
Curb this spider who prays on innocent
Smash smash this cur please
Dirty trash wash hands
No one cares cease
Stupid dog cannot sea
Life is not always seams
Turn run before you crash
No one cares about you all
Simple thoughts please lust
Bye bye goes you all

The Prodigal Son

Hard as rock his head
Knowledge as green grass
Rebellion know no limits
Escape the endless parade
Sins heaped higher than molehile
Sadness dwell therein
Trouble fleeting parascope
Destiny his own choice
Secrets deep as funnel deep
Love and devotion finders keep
Nimble quick flight he go
Abuse and trouble follow rude
Blocked by narrow minded people he
Seek a way through of nest web
Morrow promised to him not
Sad is the day for all prodigal sons
Sins forgiven by parents need
Blood thick cannot twist
Stand fast despite all
Rumors lies attack us all
Vindication cut liars deep
Tongues cease flip flop
Stand tall prodigal son
Love God prodigal son
Turn break no more
Least stone become

THE HUNT FOR TOBIAS GREEN

Night cold and wet
Shards of glass filled the air
Blow sweet as hot as new thorn
Sad eyes glared around
Lumbering horses thundered past
Shrill voices filled the sky
Lass come quick don't be daft
Feet don't linger play no song to keep
Lash falling heavily past
Smoke flaring from nostrils wide
Branches whipping and tearing at our eyes
Star bright North I see
Dodge left dodge right
Zig zag zig zag I go
Sweat pouring from fevered flesh
Heart churning thump thump quick
Creep through sticks an stones
Shush shush I hear a noise
Listen listen I hear
Dogs baying in the air
Closer closer they come
No I cry I cannot return
Eyes narrow with determination
I pray strengthen me Lord
Flashes of heat fill me
Move faster and lighter I run
Shadows past me quick
Not far to go to I reach the point
Sides clenching with pain
God keep me I cannot go back
Not far now to go
Strengthen me Lord strengthen me
One last leap to go
Space beneath my feet
Land light as cat on the boat's dock
Cringe and hide beneath canvas thick
Burrow far and deep
Free from cruel punishment forever
Never go back never go back

ABOUT ME

Hello. My name is Felicia McCaw and I am a returning student to Delta College. My dream has always been to attend college and get a degree and a good job. Further, I have always felt that if a person is willing to dream than he or she can achieve their dream and that the sky is the limit. My life has always seemed to be a changing kaleidoscopes of dreams, priorities and must-do that is a given requirement for me to standstill and fulfill these priorities. Some of these items and dreams had to be placed on the backburner while I continued to work…I am not a serious procrastinator but I have my times when I do put off as much as possible. I am a dreamer who has always wanted to be a writer… right now I don’t care what I write as long as I am achieving a facet of my dream and that is an eternally revolving sphere that is gaining time and learning as it whirls around. My life has always been a little different and I am using these unusual experiences to gain knowledge of who I am and why I was sent here and I am only trying to help others also focus on their dreams. Also, I feel strongly that God gives us our own unique talent and we must use them or not grumble if we don’t.
My interest in poetry is just one of the facets of writing that I wanted to explore since I had started just writing down a little of this and a little of that. It has evolved from the very simplistic to a higher level of poems that astound me because I thought I could just turn in my old drafts but now I realize that by taking this class I have evolved, evolved and evolved and I am just amazed and thrilled by the change that has taken over and reflects in my poetry. Also, not only has it affected my ability to write but it has made me think and know that life is true to you and will not lie and poets are the same way they portray their thoughts and allow you to roam and try to interpret them. This class has given me a dream and that is “Life as a Poet” is extremely interesting and I would not mind continuing to expand on my own and further gain insights and techniques in writing poetry and hopefully getting published since that would be a coup in my cap.
The first step was learning some of things that define a poem, what it consists of and how to approach writing a poem. This class also instructed the other students and I that poetry is not a dry subject it is the heart of a poet in written form. It is the life blood of the one who writes it and relays to the world unselfishly that they love, adore, share, cherish, care and carefully gives a small part of them in each piece they write. This is what this class has taught me and I feel that I have moved further and further from where I used to be and wish to evolve myself further and learn some more of the harder techniques which I approached with trepidation and fear. I feel that in order to get rid of your fear one must pray and then proceed ahead and do your best. I guess what I would say to an incoming person who want s to write poetry is not to be intimidated by the terminology but become relaxed and let the terminology dance around in your mind and see yourself juggling it around and say what is this that is attempting to scare me and say back to the would be fear inducer … it definitely is not you that is intimidating me…I can do this and I will and I will get better as I become more comfortable and more fluent in the language of poetry.
Furthermore, I came to the realization that poetry was used to woo the most beautiful of women and those that were not beautiful were woo as well because of the very fieriness of their nature and strength of character. It was then evolved by men authors to show that not only is poetry a reflection of love but it is also a reflection of the world and dignity, pride, characteristics of all written in full to reflect the world in which we live and to show that we are not always what we seem like a poem it has hidden depths and sometimes these layers has to be revealed layer by layer just like a man and a woman and you will find the inner beauty within. That is what this poetry class has taught me and I will never forget the lesson learned because it has evolved me in another way that I will always appreciate.
Thank you.

WORKSHOP POEMS 1 & 2

WORSHOP POEM

The moon was grey and hard
Timeless past thru moonless pale fool
Former summer gleamer
A morrow is a still
Try as I may a cool summer breeze touch my eye seen
Mother tough hard soft
Father mean harsh mellow
Brothers not seen hard
Sisters young old senile
Cousins bright gloom happy
Babies bright flash
Nieces chatter box quiet
Nephews young old ageless
Group together fellow
Separate part mesh
Still creep the moon at night
Cold air chill soul
Tail donkey impossible
A forest field crossed
Family is a mirror
Centuries span and end in a brief second
Life is a string
Blood is to real
Faith is to clock
Newborn is to generation
Family is to directions
Directions is to meet

Black Tibeaus

I see before me life so true
Eyes agleam with mischief
Broad of shoulder he be
Slim of hip I see
Skin aglitter with sweet sweat
Hair curly as a rainbow
Black as the sweet night
Nimble and quick with flash agility
Straight and narrow a path he walks
